Point Systems
Our fantasy hockey platform uses a comprehensive point system that rewards players for various actions on the ice. Understanding how points are awarded will help you build a more effective fantasy team.
Skater Scoring
Points awarded to forwards and defensemen based on their performance in NHL games:

Special Notes for Skaters
- Defensemen receive an additional 0.5 points per block
- Bonuses are added on top of the base points (e.g., a power play goal is worth 4.0 points: 3.0 for the goal + 1.0 bonus)
- Penalty shot goals count the same as regular goals

Points awarded to goalies based on their performance in NHL games:

Special Notes for Goalies
- Goalies must play the entire game to receive win points
- A shutout requires the goalie to play the entire game
- Saves in shootouts count towards save totals
- Goals against in shootouts do not count as goals against
League Formats
Daily Fantasy (DFS)
In Daily Fantasy contests, you draft a new team each day within a salary cap. Your team earns points based on their performance in that day’s games only.
Season-Long Points
Teams compete throughout the NHL season, accumulating total points based on their players’ performances. The team with the most points at the end of the season wins.
Head-to-Head
Teams face off against one another each week. The team that scores more points that week wins the matchup. Final standings are determined by win-loss records.
